The game begins in the spring of 1808, with a Spanish army still to be mobilized and a French imperial army that expected to be assigned to police duties. Nothing could be further from the truth. The defeat at Bail\u00e9n and the occupation of Madrid by the patriots brought Emperor Napoleon I himself to the Peninsula, along with more than 250,000 of his best soldiers and generals.  With a point-to-point board, the Napoleonic invaders must make the population accept the new king willingly or by force, while expelling British forces from the Peninsula. Meanwhile, the Spanish troops must avoid historical disasters in order to prevent the imperial forces from occupying the entire Peninsula and crushing the patriot movement.  A game that allows you to simulate the entire war or specific segments of it, as you can start the general campaign in any year, or play up to a certain date or just a single year."}
